London Theatre – Billy Elliot

This musical based on the 2000 film of the same name is one of the most celebrated and award-winning musicals on stage today. The plot is about a young motherless boy Billy, who trades boxing gloves for ballet shoes. It is a tale of personal struggles and fulfilment all set during the UK miners’ strike in County Durham in 1984-1985.

During its run, it has won Best New Musical, Best Actor, Best Sound design and many other theatre awards. With music created by Elton John, exceptional dancing and a powerful storyline, audiences of all ages will have this theatrical experience stay with them forever.
